Transforming Communities

COMMUNITY

“Mana is simply how you care for other people.”

We are born to help one another. We are born to connect with community. When we serve one another, we experience a deep contentment.

Manasprings facilitates ‘in-field’ learning that takes place within community schools, health centres, children’s homes, community groups, agricultural settings and more. We become stronger leaders by seeing first-hand what other like-minded leaders are actually doing. We learn from each other. Our organisations grow stronger.

We champion Manawomen and their local organisations! And in doing so, help raise funds for community programs to support our mission to transform communities for the wellbeing of all. Manasprings Girls Education, Women in Agriculture, Women in Small Business, and Dignified Work for Women are a collective effort to educate and empower girls and women within Kenya society.

YOU CAN HELP US BY

Contributing to a community project

Women In Small Business

Supporting women belonging to basket weaving cooperatives is vitally important to the sustainability of families. The money she earns provides for rent, children’s school fees, and daily food.

Women In Agriculture

Buy seeds, chickens, and goats to support women living in impoverished rural communities in Kenya. Your donation will help sustain families who are feeling the impacts of prolonged drought, devastating floods, and escalating food prices.

Girls Education

Educating Kenyan girls to realise their full potential is worthy of our efforts, especially when we understand that girls and women suffer such inequalities, including gender disparities within education and leadership.

Dignified Work For Women

Help women transition out of prostitution into dignified work. Your donation will make a positive difference in the lives of women seeking a new start in setting up a small business of their choice, and facilitating mentoring and training with women who care for their wellbeing.

Girls Education

“When you educate a girl, you are lifting an entire society.”

Educating Kenyan girls to realise their full potential is worthy of our efforts, especially when we understand that girls and women suffer such inequalities, including gender disparities within education and leadership.

Still to this day, girls belonging to some tribal groups in Kenya are forced into early child marriage, undergo female genital mutilation, and simply miss too many school days because of gender inequality. Girls’ education is crucial in breaking down barriers that stop them from realising their human potential and is vital to eradicating poverty. University studies and vocational training are out of reach for many Kenyan girls, so please join us in helping to make further education a reality for them.

“There are so many desperate women, and they don’t do this for leisure. It is very sad. Men are exploiting them, and it is us that needs to give them a turning point” — Jane
